Reminds me of this exchange from the episode of The West Wing that we watched last night:

Josh: Why are you trying to… fix me up… with Joey Lucas?
Donna: [quickly] I think you’d make a nice couple.
Josh: Fine.
Donna: If you got married you’d be Joshua and Josephine Lucas-Lyman. You wouldn’t have to get your towels re-monogrammed.

And, yes, I’d really like it if my future wife did take my last name.
